07 General Meeting at Friarminnan, 26 June, 1695.
The next committee was to disburden Robert Speirs of his collectorship. A delegate from the Edinburgh society desires that one of the Bo’ness society attends the next committee ‘with Robert Speirs concerning his marriage’. Resolved that the next general meeting ‘out of tenderness to their brethren’, ‘question Robert Speirs, what sense he hath both of the sinfulness of the action and the offence to the godly’.
Former conclusion of the fifth general meeting at Friarminnan, 17 October, 1694, ‘that their be no owning of Mr David Hustone as to any part of his Ministeriall function untill he appear before a Generall meeting and the meeting satisfyed with him and that all Testimonialls granted by any of us to any in prejudice of this Conclusion shall be Reputed as a Ground soficiente to make these being incapable of being a member in any of our Societies’.
Three people appointed to ‘meet with the our friends in the shire of Air and confer with them conserning hearers in their societies not clear in judgment and practices of the present testimony’.
